World champion Marc Marquez has set the fastest time in practice ahead of the Malaysian MotoGP.
On Friday, the Honda rider clocked 2 minutes 01.210 seconds around the 5.548km Sepang circuit in the first session, more than a quarter of a second quicker than compatriot Maverick Vinales.
The world champion’s time remained unchanged in the second session although he opted to sit out to illness.
Britain's Scott Redding was 3rd fastest, ahead of Italian pair Andrea Iannone and Valentino Rossi.
Meanwhile, Australia’s Jack Miller was fastest in the second session with Cal Crutchlow and Hector Barbera in second and 3rd places respectively.
