AFC U-19: Japan beat Tajikistan 4-0, reach semifinals

Japan have reached the semifinals of the AFC Under-19 tournament, by overpowering Tajikistan 4-nil in Manama, Bahrain.

10 minutes into the match and Koki Ogawa managed to put Japan ahead with a cool header. The young Samurai Blues found their 2nd goal in the 40th minute, when Ritsu Doan curled a brilliant shot from the edge of the area into the top corner, making it 2-0. 

Ogawa added Japan’s 3rd and his 2nd of the match after the break, and Yuto Iwasaki made in 4-nil to put the game into bed, as Japan sealed their spot into the last four on Monday. With the triumph the young Samurai Blues also booked their spot in the upcoming FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
