World Champion Lewis Hamilton has clinched the United States F1 Grand Prix, reducing the deficit on Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg to 26 points in the overall standings.
Hamilton recorded his 50th career win in in Austin, Texas, raising hopes of another title with 3 races left of the 2016 season.
With the victory, the Brit is third on the list of all-time Grand Prix winners with only Alain Prost and Michael Schumacher above him who have won 51 and 91 races, respectively.
Rosberg finished second after recovering a position he had lost to Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo at the start.
The Australian, who had encountered a sudden gearbox failure, eventually finished third ahead of Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel.
The final 3 races will be held in Mexico next weekend, and then Brazil and Abu Dhabi.
