Iraqi army makes more gains in operation to retake Mosul

A week into the operation to liberate Mosul from Daesh terrorists, the Iraqi army backed by Kurdish Peshmerga and Popular Mobilization Units (PMUs) has made major gains. They have taken control of the town of Bashiqa, 19 kilometers from Mosul and the Christian town of Bartella.
