Israel funds archeological project following UNESCO resolution

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is expected to vote for a second time on a resolution that called Israel an occupying power. The resolution also said only Palestinians have historical connections to the al-Aqsa mosque. The upcoming vote is said to be softer on Israel. Meanwhile, Israel has pushed for an archeological project near al-Aqsa; an issue which Palestinians say is in response to the UNESCO resolution.
