German giants Bayern Munich have posted a 2-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarians only needed 16 minutes to open the scoring on Saturday through Arturo Vidal, who headed in Rafinha's cross after a good work by Arjen Robben.

The hosts then doubled their advantage some 15 minutes later when Brazilian winger Douglas Costa capitalized on Oscar Wendt's slip in the area, and finished clinically at the back post, making it 2-0.

The score remained intact until the final whistle with Bayern grabbing all 3 points to remain atop the standings.
