Nico Rosberg clocks the quickest time in Friday’s practice session at US Grand Prix.

The German driver, chasing his 10th win of the season, ended the day with the fastest time after lapping the Circuit of the Americas in 1 minute 37.358 seconds.

Lewis Hamilton the winner in three of the last four races at the Texan track led the morning session before Rosberg came back in the afternoon with a lap of one minute, 37.358 seconds. Hamilton trails Rosberg by 33 points heading into the final four races.

Daniel Ricciardo was third fastest on Friday with hopes of gaining more time in Saturday's qualifying. If Rosberg can pick up a win in any of the final four races, he will join Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Hamilton as the only drivers with 10 victories in a single season.
