Swedish researchers have finished working on a 3D model of a home in the ancient Roman town of Pompeii.
Experts at Sweden’s Lund University have completed the 3D model using traditional archaeological techniques and advanced laser scanning technology.
The 3D mock-up was available for public access while still in progress. The model shows the dynamic history of the Pompeii before the destruction of the city during a volcanic eruption in 79 AD.
The Swedish Pompeii Project was initiated at the Swedish Institute in Rome back in 2000 as a field work with the purpose of excavating the entire Pompeian city for study and analysis.
