The world’s largest publishing event is underway in Germany. This year’s exhibition is revolutionizing the book world with art projects and technology gadgets.

This year’s Frankfurt Book Fair has drawn more than 7,000 exhibitors from around 100 countries to the world’s oldest book fair.

But the wide spectrum of books is not the only thing that the visitors will be exposed to; they are also invited to visit an interactive classroom, experience 3D printer art and Virtual Reality experiences.

The VR experiences allow visitors to interact with story characters through a VR headset while completing challenges to develop the plot.

The Frankfurt fair dates back to more than 500 years ago. The first edition of the event took place soon after Johannes Gutenberg introduced printed press to Europe.
