China will release 2 captive bred giant pandas into the wild after wilderness survival training for 3 years.

The 2 pandas have been raised in captivity in southwest China's Giant Panda Protection and Research Center in Ya'an, Sichuan province.

They have been living with their mothers in a training center preparing them for the wild. They have learned to search for food independently, find water sources, and avoid danger such as predators.

The results of their physical checkup show that all the physiological indicators are normal. Conservationists have recently announced that giant pandas are no longer an endangered species but are still considered vulnerable.
