The Palestinians urged the UN Security Council on Wednesday to adopt a new resolution scheduled to be submitted to the council in December. The draft document involves serious measures to compel Israel to halt its settlement activities in the occupied territories. It also warns the Israeli regime of possible consequences if it continues to violate international law. Mona Kandil has this report from Ramallah.
