Barcelona have destroyed Premier League Leaders Manchester City 4-0 at Camp Nou, with a marvelous Lionel Messi supplying a hat-trick.

The Catalans only needed 17 minutes to open the scoring in the group stage match on Wednesday through their Argentinean wizard Messi who coolly went around Claudio Bravo to make it 1-0.

The Sky Blues were then reduced to 10 men after the restart when Bravo was sent off following a red card after he handled Luis Suarez's shot, making things easier for the hosts.

Messi doubled Barca’s advantage in the 61st minute by curling an unstoppable shot pass the keeper, making it 2-0.

8 minutes later, Messi completed his hat-trick with a close range finish to put the home side in the driving seat.

Luis Enrique’s men were also reduced to 10 men in the 73rd minute when Jeremy Mathieu was shown a second yellow card for 2 bookable offences. But, that didn’t stop the Catalans from grabbing their 4th goal of the match.

Neymar, who missed a penalty in the 87 minute, scored in the dying seconds to wrap up the victory in a humiliating evening for City boss Pep Guardiola, who is now winless in 4 matches.
