Early autumn is a good time for enjoying Northern Lights in Finland’s Lapland province.
People have gathered in ‘Rovaniemi’ north of the country to enjoy Northern Lights. Green lights dance is the result of collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth's atmosphere.
The phenomenon is known as Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights, in the northern hemisphere and as Aurora Australis, or the Southern Lights, in the southern hemisphere.
It is extremely difficult to predict the lights, but some say there may be an increased chance of watching the light show in spring and autumn.
