Former Hull City manager named as new Aston Villa boss
Former Hull City and Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce has been named as Aston Villa's new manager.
The 55 year-old took the position at the club following the departure of Roberto Di Matteo last week. Villa, however, have not mentioned the length of his contract.
The first game for Bruce being in charge is at home against local rivals Wolves on Saturday as he seeks to improve on a record of 10 points from 11 games.
Villa will begin life under Bruce at 19th in the championship table as he will become the sixth man to pick the Villa team inside the last 12 months.
