US seeks to propagandize fake allegations against Moscow: Analyst

Washington is resorting to its intelligence apparatus to propagandize fake allegations against Moscow in order to trigger a military engagement, says a former US Army psychological warfare officer.

On October 7, the administration of US President Barack Obama issued a statement, formally accusing the Kremlin of attempts to “interfere” with the November presidential election in the United States.

“The Obama administration is unconstitutionally focusing the NSA, the CIA and the military to generate this propaganda that the Russians are responsible [for] … hacks, but they’re not, the Russians aren’t doing any hacking,” Scott Bennett said in an interview with PressTV.

US spy agencies claimed that the Russian government had directed recent revelations about the emails of individuals and institutions.

The hacking spree in the United States is a natural offshoot of the WikiLeaks and a variety of hackers, but “the United States under Obama may be trying to trigger a black flag operation and may be trying to trigger a reaction” from the Russian side, the analyst said.

The US may seek to justify some sort of a “military engagement” with Russia, because American authorities are losing their mind and they are so desperate to try and salvage the hacking scandal, Bennett stated.

Russian authorities have time and again denied Moscow’s involvement in the hacking scandal.
