France have bagged their second win of European qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup thanks to a first-half goal from midfielder Paul Pogba which helped them beat the Netherlands 1-nil in Amsterdam.

The world-record Manchester United signing received a square pass from Dimitri Payet on the half-hour mark and fired-in a shot from 25 yards out to give Didier Deschamps' side the lead.

The Dutch, looking for an equalizer, made noisy claims for a penalty before halftime but the referee turned down their appeals.

And Paugba’s first-half strike was enough to secure the visitors all the three points against a side deemed to be their toughest opposition in Group A.

With the win, France lead the group on 7 points along with Sweden.
