Britain’s Andy Murray has cruised into the final of the China Open, following a straight sets victory over Spain's David Ferrer.

The Brit needed 1 hour and 31 minutes to outclass his Spanish rival on Saturday, as he won the match with a score-line of 6-2, 6-3 to move into the next round of the tournament.

The triumph now puts Murray only one win away from his 40th tour-level title. Up next for the world No 2 will be Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria, who was granted a walk-over when Canada’s Milos Raonic had to retire due to an ankle injury he sustained in his quarterfinal victory over Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta.
