India-Pakistan tensions

Tensions are once again mounting between India and Pakistan. Troops from the two nuclear-armed countries have reportedly exchanged fresh fire along the so-called line of control, which is a de facto border dividing the disputed region of Kashmir between them.

Russia warns US on Syria

Russia has warned the United States against taking any military action against the Syrian government, saying any such move would have dire consequences for the whole Middle East region.

Terrorist threat in Asia

The danger posed by terrorist groups is alarming more and more nations. Singapore is the latest to feel the threat. The country’s defense minister has warned of the growing threat of terrorism in Southeast Asia, saying terror groups in the region have become more organized and focused.
