Failure to lure Americans

The first of the planned three presidential debates was held at New York's Hofstra University. The 90-minute televised encounter between Clinton and Trump is believed to have been the most-watched and highly-anticipated political showdown.

UK under fire

The UK has once again come under fire for its support for Saudi Arabia. A group of rights bodies, including Amnesty International, Oxfam and Human Rights Watch, have lashed out at London for blocking an international inquiry into Saudi Arabia’s war on Yemen.

US-Russia war of words

Tensions continue between Russia and the West over the situation in Syria. Moscow has said it’s deeply concerned about the current situation in the Arab country, where terrorists are using the ceasefire to regroup.
