Israel's secret weapons of mass destruction are a real threat to peace and security in the world, Editor in Chief of the American Herald Tribune daily Anthony James Hall told Press TV on Friday.

“Israel is a kind of outlaw entity when it comes to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, because Israel does not even admit to this day that it has nuclear weapons,” he said.

Hall also lashed out at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for an “enormous double standard” regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear program and Israel's atomic warheads.

"Iran is going along with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), while the Iranians do not have any nuclear weapons, but Israel does have hundreds of atomic bombs and denies the issue."

On Thursday, Iranian Ambassador to the IAEA Reza Najafi described Israel's nuclear weapons program as a serious and continued threat to the regional and international peace and security.

Hall touched upon the facts and figures mentioned by different sources such as Mordechai Vanunu, saying Israel's atomic stockpiles are “completely unregulated.”

Vanunu is a former Israeli nuclear technician and peace activist, who revealed details of Israel's nuclear weapons program to the British press in 1986.

According to Hall, Tel Aviv follows up the Samson Option, which says Israel plans to annihilate entire nations and regions if it loses a war.
