La Liga: Atletico Madrid prepare to face Valencia
Atletico Madrid have hit the training ground ahead of their La Liga match against Valencia.
After their excellent Champions League 1-0 win over Carlos Ancelloti’s Bayern Munich at the Vincente Calderon on Wednesday night, Diego Simeon’s men will travel to Mestalla this Sunday to take on Valencia.
Atletico have started their Spanish campaign not quite at their best with disappointing draws against Alaves and Leganes.
But they are surely keen to keep the pressure on powerhouses Real Madrid and FC Barcelona by trying to grab all three points from Sunday’s encounter. They are currently third in the overall standings with 12 points.
