Pakistan religious parties prepare for Muharram ceremonies

The first month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Muharram is around the corner. Pakistan’s National Solidarity Council, a platform of 28 religious parties, has held a conference in the port city of Karachi to promote peace and harmony ahead of the ceremonies marking the martyrdom of the third Shia Imam in 680 A.D. Muhammad Toori reports.
