Pro-independence Catalan govt. wins confidence vote in parl.

Pro-independence Catalan President Carles Puigdemont has won a vote of confidence in Parliament over the region's State Budget. Puigdemont promised to continue working with Madrid to secure a referendum, but pledged to hold a ballot on independence in September 2017 if the ongoing efforts fail.
