Moscow light festival to set new world record

Buildings throughout Moscow will serve as backdrops for more than 200 light shows during the annual Circle of Light festival.

Moscow becomes a city of light art every autumn. This year, the sixth annual ‘Circle of Light International Festival’ wants to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest image projection in the city.

Some 200 projectors were used to display an image of over 40,000 square meters in size on the building of the Moscow State University.

The organizers tried to break their own record set last year when a gigantic video animation was screened on the facade of the Ministry of Defence building.

The annual festival takes place at six venues throughout Moscow. 143 international participants from 31 countries are attending the event.
