France hosts 43rd edition of colorful air show

Thousands gather in France as the country hosts the world's oldest free flight festival through the Alps.

Paragliders, parachutists and hot air balloons from around the world performed stunts for the 43rd edition of Icarus Cup.

The ultralight air sports show was born in 1974 in the Alps. The event attracts close to 10,000 free flyers and 200 professional exhibitors from across the world.

Around 90,000 spectators also gather to watch the great annual festival and the amazing aerobatic acts.
