Atletico Madrid have climbed Up to 3rd in the La Liga standings, after edging 10-man Deportivo La Coruniya 1-0 at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
The hosts were the brighter side, but Deportivo proved a bit difficult to break down, until their midfielder was sent-off on the stroke of half-time.
From then-on, the hosts extended their supremacy, and broke the deadlock 20 minutes from time, when French international Antoine Griezmann found the back of the net from close range, scoring his 5th goal of the season.
Diego Simeone's men remain unbeaten this season and are now just 2 points behind leaders Real Madrid.
