Manchester United have demolished champions Leicester City 4-1 at Old Trafford, as Jose Mourinho dropped captain Wayne Rooney from his starting line-up.

Chris Smalling opened the scoring for the Red Devils on Saturday, before Juan Mata doubled his side's advantage by firing an unstoppable shot past the keeper in the 37th minute.

Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba then added 2 more before half time to give the hosts a commanding 4-0 lead.

Leicester, however, did pull a goal back after the interval, but that was as far as they could go. 4-1 the final score and United got back to their winning ways in the Premier League and grabbed 3 important points.
