The White House has agreed to compensate the family of an Italian aid worker who was killed in a CIA drone strike in Pakistan’s restive tribal region last year. The US still refuses similar compensation for thousands of Pakistani victims of drone attacks. Analysts say Washington's deal with the family of the slain Italian aid worker can set a legal precedent for similar compensation for the Pakistani victims of drone attacks.
