Iraqi forces kick off operation to liberate Sharqat district near Mosul

Iraqi forces are making headway in their operation to retake the city of Mosul from Daesh terrorists. Troops have now launched an operation to retake the strategic district of Sharqat in Salahuddin province. Fighting also continues on other fronts near Mosul.
