Juan Martin Del Potro beats Andy Murray in five sets. This puts Argentina 1-love up in their Davis Cup World Group semifinal against holders Great Britain.

The Argentinean tennis player sealed the victory with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 win in just over five hours following an epic battle on the hard-court of the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Friday.

Del Potro, ranked 64th in the world, refused to surrender and condemned Murray to only his third singles defeat in the men's team competition after finishing off the marathon encounter with an ace. It was Murray's first home defeat in a Davis Cup match, and the longest match of his career.

Del Potro has defeated the world number two and Wimbledon champion, in last month's Olympic singles final. Argentina has never won the Davis Cup, despite appearing in 11 semifinals over the past fifteen years.
