Spanish giants Real Madrid have come back from a goal down to defeat Lisbon’s Sporting CP 2-1 in their UEFA Champions league match at the Santiago Bernabeu.

After a goalless first half, the visitors started the next 45 minutes in style and only needed 3 minutes to shock the home crowd. Bruno Cesar curled a beautiful low shot past the Real keeper that went into the bottom left-hand corner of the net, making it 1-nil.

But, Los Blancos didn’t let their fans down and managed to equalize in the 89th minute through Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo. Real won a free kick when CR7 was brought down by Elias outside the penalty area. Ronaldo stepped up and curled an absolutely brilliant shot off the right post to salvage a point for the reigning champions.

And, just when everyone thought that the match would end in a draw, Alvaro Morata put the Galacticos ahead with a beautiful header in the dying seconds of the Wednesday encounter as Real kick-start the defense of their crown with 3 hard-earned points.
