Dutch police recruit eagles against drones

Dutch police have decided to adopt an old way to resolve the problem of increasing numbers of unauthorized drones in the sky.

Police in Netherlands would become the world's first force to train and employ an army of eagles. Officials say a series of investigations have been organized since early 2015.

The aim of the tests was to determine the best way to bring down the drones. The eagles will now be launched whenever drones are posing a danger to the public.

For instance, the eagles will be used during sensitive state visits or in airports. Dutch police say the eagles consider the drones as prey and catch them as they are flying.
