Robot chef prepares Sushi in Japan

The DuAro dual-armed SCARA robot makes sushi at the Tokyo Robot Center Showroom in Odaiba.

Japanese cuisine Sushi is considered an art form and a healthy meal. Learning how to make it, could take years. But a robot chef can make a perfect plate of sushi.

The dual-armed robot named SCARA makes waxwork sushi to show the future of the human-robot cooperation.

The robotic chef uses its arms to manipulate the food and is the latest in a line of mechanical foodies. The robot can hold different sushi utensils and it looks to use a small vacuum attachment to pick up a piece of fish and egg, and put them on top of sticky rice balls.

Meanwhile, the chef robot is not able to cook the fish or rice itself and still needs some human input.
