Yaya Toure left out of Man City's Champions League squad

Manchester City's new manager Pep Guardiola is leaving one very big name out of his UEFA Champions League squad.

It appears that Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure will not be able to play against Borussia Monchengladbach, Celtic or Barcelona in the coming months.

And that’s because City could not include more than 17 overseas players in their squad, with Toure missing out, as Guardiola turned to a number of the club's other options.

Toure has played only once for City this season and that was their 1-nil victory over Romanian outfit Steaua Bucharest in the second leg of the Champions League play offs.
