Iran’s Sarmayeh bank have won the 2016 Asian men’s club volleyball championship in Myanmar after defeating Qatar’s Al-Arabi 3 sets to 1 in the final.
It was the Qataris who started the much as the better side on Wednesday and managed to take the first set 26-24. But, the Iranians found their rhythm in the second frame and outscored their opponents 25-18 to level the match at 1-apiece and never looked back from then onwards. They went on to grab the next two sets 25-16 and 25-19 respectively to be crowned as Asian Champions and to win Iran’s 11th Asian title in club level.
