Iran determined to foil all enemies’ plots: Analyst

Press TV has conducted an interview with Ibrahim Mousawi, a political analyst, to discuss the remarks made by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, warning the nation’s adversaries they will suffer a heavy blow if they launch an attack against Iran.

Press TV: We were discussing the comments made by the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution when he warns the nation’s adversaries that they will suffer a heavy blow if they attack the Islamic Republic. Your comments on that.

Mousawi: Let me say one simple thing. This is the outspoken and the strongest voice that we can ever hear from a leader on the level of the whole world against the world arrogance, against the Americans, against the Western conspiracies targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, targeting all people who believe in the resistance, in the axis of the resistance against the people and the causes of the people.

We know very well that the Western world, the United States of America has been pressuring Russia and exercising all kinds of intimidation not to allow this kind of deal to take place between Iran and Russia vis-à-vis the S-300.

This is not the most important part of the issue. The most important part of the issue has to do with the steadfastness of the Islamic Republic with the decision that has been taken by the highest ranks, by the Rahbar-e-Moazzam against any interference from the West. You do not find in this world any country that is ready to detach from the Russian axis or from the Western axis while you have the Islamic Republic of Iran that continues to be consistent with the principles and with the slogans that have been ushered in the first day of the Islamic Republic and the Revolution.

So in this sense, it is a very important, strong message to be repeated again and again by the Leader of the Ummah and the Leader of the Islamic Republic because it sends a very important signal about the steadfastness of the Islamic Republic, the steadfastness of the people and the consistency of the position. Otherwise we know very well that most of those who are making compromises, are making bargain which would really compromise the sovereignty of the countries. Iran continues to be a very important, one of the very few states that has been sticking to the principles of independence, of sovereignty regardless of all of the conspiracies taking place.

Press TV: As you mentioned, it does boil down to Iran’s independence specifically within the region which is so embroiled in turmoil at this moment. However, the fact that the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution has felt the urge or the need to issue such a statement or such a warning against “Iran’s enemies” or the nation’s adversaries goes to show that despite what they may say or may not say, the Western governments are still looking to interfere and even having their option of military attack against Iran on the table?

Mousawi: Absolutely. We know very well Iran is the last state and the final state, you do not have any other state, any regional power that is so strong, that is so powerful that supports the causes of the region.

We know very well, the Western conspiracies, they are against the people’s choices, against the people’s wills, against the people’s dreams in this region. We know the operation that is being and the occupation against the Palestinian people, we know what is happening in Syria against the Syrian people, we know what is happening in Bahrain, and we know what is happening in Iraq. So you are talking about a full-fledged conspiracy against the liberation movements, the resistance movements.

Iran continues to be the number one and maybe one of the only regional powers that continue to support the choices and the determination of the people to be sovereign, to be independent.

That is why the enemies continue to exercise pressure, continue to try to make plots against Iran and when Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Republic, when he sends such a message, he says that Iran is sober enough, is aware enough of all of your conspiracies and is continuing to be determined to sabotage and to torpedo all of your efforts in order to try to deviate Iran from these principles. It is a very important, strong message to the enemies and to the friends of Iran at the same time.
