7th International Military Music Festival opens in Russia

The participants in the 2016 International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” parade in Moscow.

One of the world’s largest military music festivals is underway in Russia. The International Military Music Festival called "Spasskaya Tower" has opened in Moscow’s Red Square.

The annual military tattoo which is the 7th of its kind, has brought together 20 marching bands from 12 countries and the same number from Russia.

The event kicked off with a one-minute silent tribute to the victims of the earthquake in Italy.

The festival will showcase musical parades and national music in the presence of a crowd of more than 75 hundred people for over a week.
