Germany’s Nico Rosberg has taken pole position for the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix while his Mercedes teammate and championship rival Lewis Hamilton will start from the back of the grid.
Rosberg posted the fastest time of one minute 46.744 seconds at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit to take top spot during Saturday's final qualifying session.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen ended his day in second, ahead of the Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel. Hamilton, who is 19 points clear of Rosberg in the title race, will start from the final spot on the grid as he was penalized for replacing more engine components than allowed.
