Students build table football robot that can beat humans

A group of students in Switzerland have designed a computerized opponent with motors which can beat human beings in table football.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Genius university kids who had no playmates, have come up with a robot that can beat human beings in table football.

Students at Switzerland’s Federal School of Polytechnique in Lausanne have developed a robot that can hit the ball almost twice as hard as any human player.

Table football is a popular game played at university campuses. Bachelor and Masters students have designed a computerized opponent with motors which can move within millimeter precision.

The table football has a transparent ground with high-speed cameras which take pictures of the ground, then the computer processes the data and detects the ball's position on the ground.
