The draw for the group stages of the UEFA Europa League has been held in Monaco a day after the Champions League draw. 48 teams competing in this year’s competition have been split into 12 groups of four teams.

Former European champions Manchester United have a tough task ahead of them, having been pitted against Turkey’s Fenerbahce, Dutch side Feyenoord and Ukraine’s Zorya Luhansk in group A.

The draw sees the Red Devils facing their former striker Robin van Persie who is currently with the Turkish club.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage. The group stage matches will be played from September the 15th to December the 8th.
