Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned UEFA’S best player of the year after winning the Champions League with Real Madrid and Euro 2016 with Portugal.
The voting took place at the end of the draw ceremony for the next Champions League season.
The 31-year-old striker beat off competition from club-mate Gareth Bale and Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann to claim the award for the second time throughout his career.
Ronaldo garnered 40 votes while Griezmann and Bale won 8 and 7 votes each. The Portugal marksman had won the title for the first time back in the 2013.
