US Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Turkey on Wednesday was intended to boost soured relations between the 2 NATO members. Ankara has accused Washington of insincerity following last month’s failed coup against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Turkey is also critical of the US for failing to extradite Fethullah Gulen, who is accused of being behind the recent coup.
