Croatia’s Marin Cilic has claimed his 1st ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Title by overwhelming Britain’s Andy Murray in straight sets in the final of the Cincinnati tournament.
The Former US Open champion showed a flawless performance on Sunday and stunned top seed and two-time Cincinnati champion Murray with a scoreline of 6-4, 7-5 in one hour and 34 minutes, ending the Scot's 22-match winning streak.
The Cilic triumph also ended the dominant run by the "big four" of Murray, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal, who had won the past 18 tournaments in the series.
