The world's longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge has opened to visitors in central China.
The record-breaking structure is 430 meters long and hangs 300 meters above the earth. It connects two mountain cliffs in Hunan province.
The 3.4 million-dollar bridge is made of 99 panels of clear glass and up to 800 people can pass it at the same time. A maximum of 8,000 visitors will be allowed to cross the bridge each day.
To show the structure’s safety, officials let the public try to bash in the glass with sledge-hammers. Earlier this year, a car filled with passengers crossed the bridge.
