Omar McLeod wins 110m hurdles for Jamaica in Rio

Jamaican Omar McLeod has won Olympic gold in the men's 110m hurdles in Rio, capturing Jamaica’s first ever gold in the event.

The 22-year-old Jamaican demonstrated a superb performance to win in a time of 13.05 seconds, adding the hurdles to the growing list of events, the tiny Caribbean island is dominating.

Spain's Orlando Ortega took silver while France's Dimitri Bascou picked up bronze.

Americans have been shut out of a medal in the event after star Devon Allen finished in disappointing fifth place.
