A 22-year-old engineering student in India’s Hyderabad has made a water machine that can produce potable water out of air.

The device is named ‘Dewdrop’. It is Asia's first 3D printed intuitive, self-filling water apparatus.

‘Dewdrop’ that produces pure, drinkable and fresh water out of air, is a smart, computerized sensor interface with a UV filter. It uses moisture from air to generate water.

The device is able to produce up to 1.86 liter of water in an hour. The engineer who has invented the product has been nominated for India’s National Youth Award 2016.
