Turkish president Recep Tayip Erdogan has met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in hopes of turning a fresh page in the two countries’ damaged relations. The meeting comes against the backdrop of tensions in ties that began after Turkey targeted a Russian jet last November and refused to apologize at the time. Now the two leaders speak of a firm determination to normalize relations and get even closer than before.

Press TV's Marina Kortunova has the details in the following report from Moscow.
