In a pivotal game from Group C, Germany tied South Korea 3-3 on Sunday afternoon at the Fonte Nova Arena in Salvador.

South Korea took the lead 25 minutes into the first half through Hwang Hee-chan, before Serge Gnabry equalized a few minutes later.

Davie Selke put Germany ahead after the interval, but the Koreans staged an impressive comeback scoring twice in the 57th and 86th minutes to pick up a 3-2 advantage.

The Germans didn't go down easily, however, as they managed to provide an equalizer in extra time to wrap up the match at 3-all.
