Daesh threatens to attack Russia in new video
In a new propaganda video, the Takfiri terrorist group Daesh has threatened to carry out attacks in Russia in a defiant address to President Vladimir Putin.
“Listen Putin, we will come to Russia and will kill you at your homes,” a masked man driving a car in the desert yelled in a nine-minute YouTube video on Sunday, calling on Daesh supporters to attack Russia.
The video with subtitles showed footage of armed men attacking armored vehicles and tents and collecting arms in the desert.
“Breaking into a barrack of the Rejectionist military on the international road south Akashat,” read one subtitle, referring to a small town in Iraq’s western province of Anbar.
The authenticity of the video could not be confirmed, but Reuters said the link to the footage was published on a Telegram messaging account used by the terrorists.
Mostly active in Iraq and Syria, the terror group has called on its supporters to use necessary means or weapons to target countries it has been fighting.
Russia has been bombing Daesh and al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front terrorist groups in Syria at the official request of President Bashar al-Assad since September 2015.
Daesh and its affiliates have claimed responsibility for numerous terrorist attacks carried out in various parts of the world.
The July 14 Bastille Day attack in the southern French city of Nice left 84 people dead and 200 others wounded when a driver plowed through a crowd.
The Takfiri group periodically releases propaganda videos that depict gruesome scenes such as videotaped beheadings and summary executions.
Daesh also runs a very active social media campaign aimed at recruiting foreigners.
The Takfiri ideology has its roots in Saudi Arabia which is an ally of many Western countries.
