Democracy in Turkey is at a critical crossroad even as demonstrations continue in many of the country’s cities against a failed military coup on July 15. Now the main discussion among political experts is President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s longtime desire to turn Turkey's ruling system from parliamentary to a presidential one.
